The artist:
Cherokee Brown, born and raised in Wyoming, a member of the Northern Arapaho Tribe, representing the Wind River Indian Reservation. A loving mother of Six beautiful children & Four beautiful grandchildren. Dedicated to honoring my ancestors by bringing back an old message to have a happy and safe family/community. Inspired by my grandmother for the love and creation of arts and crafts at a very young age. I first learned how to sew at the age of 7, then learned how to bead. I started making star quilts daily at the age of 29 and continue to make them. I have passed the knowledge down to my daughters and now run a nonprofit to pass the knowledge down to anyone in my community that wants to learn.
